Bike Gearing 2x10 or 10x2? Confused.
Hey Folks,
I need to purchased some new shift levers for my bike. I have a bike with Shimano 10 speed 105 gears on my bike with a double crank.
I noticed a few websites that have Shimano Levers that are 2x10 and 10x2 listed? What is the difference? Which ones do I need? 2x10? Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks

Bikes: too many bikes from 1967 10s (5x2)Frejus to a Sumitomo Ti/Chorus aluminum 10s (10x2), plus one non-susp mtn bike I use as my commuter

There is no difference, 10x2 or 2x10, both mean 2 chainrings up front and a 10 sprocket cassette.

There are no bikes in production with 10 chainrings and two cogs.
