Anyone want to enlighten me on how to change the cartridge bearings ?
Have sussed the front, but the rear is causing me a few probs and the last thing I want is the freewheel coming apart, instead of the hub.

Cartridge Bearings?

What kind of hubs have cartridge bearings? Do you mean SEALED BEARINGS? Roller bearings? Give a little more detail. I'm sure somone on this forum can help you.

Zombie thread, I know, but reviewing some of these old posts showed me that there were far too many that dead ended after the OP posted a single time.

Jonesy, did you ever figure things out? Just wondering.

Don't hold your breath. That was Jonesy's one and only post, and it's fifteen years old.

Jonesy's last visit to this site was just a few days after his one and only post so I doubt that you're going to get an answer.

Speaking from experience, changing the bearings on an older Hope rear hub is do-able in the home workshop, but a real pita.

I'm not holding my breath, just curious why so many folks take the time to register and post only to never return. I probably should have kept my musings to myself rather than bore anyone.
