Light at the end of the tunnel

Here it if Feb, that means that 3/4s of the four rotten winter months are gone. As of today we already have one full hour more sunlight.

In my case it means that it is time to do my major preventive maintence on my bike and trike. I completely go over every nut bolt and screw on the bike. Everything is examined, cleaned and lubed for the comming riding season. Proper preventaive maintence will preclude any major problems during the riding season. It also includes checking that my trunk pack "mini bike shop" is fully stocked up and ready too. Actually it ends up that my "mini bike shop" is mainly used to help other riders that have no tools, parts, or even tubes or tire patches.

COME ON SPRING!!!!!!!!!

I do hot and windy. I dont do cold. Frost bite can cause the loss of ears, fingers, and toes. On the other hand after a hot ride, I can alway take a cool shower, and still have all my parts.

I do cold within reason (say down to the upper 20's F, -2C) but I don't do snow or ice and that's been a real problem here this winter. After Sunday's 52°F, we now have 24° and 3" of new snow and it's still coming down. Ugh.

Please don't put a rush on this and finish early. If every has their bikes ready, we are almost guarantied a late Spring, which will probably be cold and wet. We need everybody to neglect getting ready so the sun can come out early just to spite us.

LOL, I'm the complete opposite. I like the cold. I don't mind riding when its 20-40f degrees except I hate how my glasses fog up so I usually just ride without them.. I bundle up and have fun. I hate the heat though. Anything hotter than 78 is uncomfortable to me. Especially when it hits like 90+ degrees, nasty!
