Which model of XT hub do I need for Avid BB7 Mech Discs? I see there are several models available, the M756 and the M765. Whats the difference? Thanks.

Im pretty sure you need the M756. It has the 6 bolt disc mount, which is what you need for avids. The 765 is the centerlock disc mount, which can only be used with shimano discs.

Ahh Grasshopper but the Shimano ROTORS can be used with Avid Mechanicals. So while he would need the 756 to run the stock Avid Rotors if he wanted to he could use the 765's if he bought the Centerlock rotors. Oddly enough as much as I hate most of the new Shimano stuff I will give the Centerlock hubs their props

I think centerlock is a great idea, because it takes the forces of the brake alot better than 6 little screws. My only problem with it is that It isnt widely used like the 6 bolt IS. Wouldnt the shimano rotor be too small for pads from other manufactureres? Like not all the pad would hit the rotor and a groove would be formed, which wouldnt wear along with the rest?

Not if you used the 160mm version http://www.pricepoint.com/detail/126...rake-160mm.htm
