I just started doing my own adjustments/repairs. I had my bike on the repair stand and was turning the crank by hand. On the front ring when I switched from small to big chain ring, the chain keeps catching between the derailer and the big chainring. It then pops up onto the big chainring, but there is a momentary catching. Is this normal? It doesn't seem like it would be very good for the chain, derailer, or chainring. Thanks for any help.
