Reverse toe in stopped my brake squeal, why?
I was dealing with a squeal that would happen when I was pulling hard on my front cantilever brake. When I first set it up I had the pads flat, didn't work. Then I toed them in, which worked for a few weeks. Then they started to squeal. I sanded down the pads, cleaned the rim a bit,(nothing to crazy). Still squeal.
Well decided to reverse toe in the pads last night and well it worked!! I haven't done any distance yet, so I can't say if this will work long term.
Any ideas why this would work? I know there has to be less pad in contact with the rim.
