Sram S7 IGH ratchet / freewheel sounds after 4th gear

Hi guys... hoping some of you know about these darn geared hubs...... all new to me.

I spent a few hours watching video's on youtube and read the manual a bunch of times over... but no luck finding what i want to know.

Hub shifts thru all 7 gears, no problem there.. however gears 5, 6, and 7 generate a freewheeling tic tic tic within the hub sound while pedaling, and faster as the gears go up.

Is this normal ?

Gears 1 thru 4 are silent while pedaling.

Entirely normal. It happens because gears 5 through 7 are overdrive gears, and the hub shell is outrunning the drive pawls on the planetary carrier. Actually, the hub shell is outrunning the planet carrier in 4th (direct gear) as well, but the rate is slower, so you might only hear the ticking when riding next to a structure that reflects the sound.
