Ultegra ST 6500/6510 Levers Name Plate Compatibility

I am missing the name plates from my ST6500 Ultegra brake levers. I know that the ST 6510 are compatible, but have not been able to find these name plates new or used anywhere on the internet (amazon, ebay, cycling parts sites, etc.) My next step is to go to my LSB and see if they can locate any.

I wanted to check and see if anyone knows if any other model name plates will correctly fit on the ST 6500/6510 levers?

Thank you very much!

I haven't actually swapped any of the covers, but I think the ST-5500 or ST-7700 face plates will inter change.

Try these:

Shimano Road Shifter Service Parts - Bikeparts360.com

The website doesn't have an "Add to Cart" button, so I guess you'll have to contact them via the "Contacts" link at the top of the page.

I have gotten some of these made by a 3D printing shop. They are black and made of a hard plastic. Look for them on eBay.

Are these a purely cosmetic part, or do they serve any actual function (i.e. keeping debris out of the shifter)? One of mine fell off, and the other is half broken. And, can't find them anywhere.

These look to be largely cosmetic parts that break/get scratched up pretty easily. I spray-painted mine black just because they were scratched up...then one broke last year. I hunted around for the part. But even if sites had them listed, they never had them available. Frustrating. I never found any. If anyone finds a source, that'd be a minor miracle....

Hey there. I have some up on ebay. I had a 3d shop proto type a print them. $30 a pair with set screws. The current ones I have are gray.
