BB30 bearings
Hello All
Where can i purchase a bearing set for my BB30?
Are there different types or a good better best scenario? Do you have to match them up to your specific crankset?
Thanks for your help

Bearings are a standard 6806 size. Generally a higher quality bearing would be used in a bike bb.

Expect: the original ones were chosen for Cost .. 2nd set are your choice.
You can find Industrial bearing suppliers in Toronto Metro area , no Doubt.

My high end CF bike came with ceramic BB30. They didn't last long, likely due to flimsy seals and small amount of grease. Standard steel bearings last much longer, likely due to somewhat better seals and more grease. The BB30 design tends to funnel water and grit into the bearings. I periodically add grease to extend the life. I've bought bearings from VXB, Amazon, etc. for ~$15-$30 per set depending on grade and whether they came with washers, retaining rings, etc... IMO, lowest grade work as well as highest.

external location is the problem .. and not using mudguards , front wheel sprays water with grit at the BB all the time ..

+1. These are industrial-grade bearings and will stand up to more abuse than regular bike riding can dish out. They are expensive, but will probably last a lifetime if installed properly.

IMO, they won't do any better with corrosion or road grit than other bearings, which is the problem with BB30...unless they have much better (draggier) seals.
