need RD for a folding bike with 16" wheels
A friend has a cheap 6 speed Kent folder with 16" wheels, and snapped the rear derailleur in half.
I had an extra shimano tourney RD, put it on but it is too big, it hits the ground as we shift to a bigger cog.
LBS did not have a mini RD.
Anyone know an online source for an inexpensive, compact 6 speed RD?

I'd try one of these:
Robot Check
Robot Check
And it does not have to be 6 speed; any speed will work fine, though with some 8 speed and higher you may have to get a narrower chain. For example a 7 speed chain rubs on Shimano's 2200 RD; 8 speed chain works fine....
