26mm Lightweight Handlebars

I'm doing an upgrade on a 90's vintage Bianchi (gearing and weight primarily). Does anyone still build 26mm lightweight (200 to 220 grams or better) these days or am I stuck with an easter egg hunt through the bowels of ebay?

Thanks.

dave

Nitto, although all come in at the 290ish gram, alternatively, what about getting a shim https://www.rivbike.com/product-p/hb91.htm and using a 25.4mm?

I can see making a 25.4mm handlebar work. But I'm not finding anything interesting in that size either. But I haven't looked as long for that option, so maybe.

Thanks.

Looks like there are at least three sources. But they are all on the heavy side so don't really buy me anything. But I guess that means there is hope.

Thanks.

ARE YOU LUCKY!

I have a couple of Cinelli handlebars that I'll never use. They'd be perfect for your vintage Bianchi. Only trouble is they have a 26.2mm clamp size. I also have one matching clamp Cinelli stem but it has a 130mm extension.

I would much rather trade for other bike stuff than haggle over money. PM me if you're interested.

Around '96, Cinelli went from 26.4 to the more standard 26.0.

there are handlebars using 7076 alloy which is stronger so they can get away with using less of it and then heat treated after forming ..

one thing you trade off is they cost more (and the pros may get them replaced every month in the race season, out of a safety preservation wisdom)

I'd be happier if someone made a light 31.8 quill stem.

I only know one of those, by Origin8
