Tektro disc brakes need what road levers?

I'm about to create a "Frankenbike." I've got a Kona Unit with Tektro mechanical discs. I want to mount a different stem & a pair of road bars on the bike. This means I'll need road levers (unless I want the levers on the flats of the road bars, and I don't). So my question is: Can ANY road lever be used with the Tektro discs, or do I need a special lever with more cable pull? If the latter, what makes/models do you recommend?

Thanks kindly - FarHorizon

Assuming that your mechanical disc brakes are the long pull 'mountain' versions and are not the short pull 'road' versions.

or

If you don't have the "R" version of brakes the following will work: Tektro RL520, Dia-Compe 287V and Cane Creek Drop V. I'm not sure how well "New Super SLR" and "SLR EV" would work.

KONAWORLD I note it is in fact a mountain bike , getting a drop bar conversion.. as above or buy a pair of "Travel Agents"..
to use other than the 2 V pull road levers.

I just got some Tektro RL520's per y'all's excellent recommendations. They work fine BUT I need new cables. The old ones aren't long enough to reach the new levers. (no surprise there). I also forgot & wrapped the bars prior to nesting the cable housing to the bars. (Homer Simpson slap to forehead - DOH!). But other than the needed rewrap, it's coming along fine. Thanks again kindly for the recommendations. My next project will be a tire swap. This bike came with 29" knobies, but I'll be riding pavement only. I've scooped up some Continental Retro-Ride 700c x 2" tires that should suffice. So my question is: Can I use the same tube with the 2" (700c) tires that was used with the 2.2" (29") knobies? Thanks in advance.
