Removing Mavic Crossland UST Rim Strips
I've got a set of Mavic Crossland MTB wheels I'm planning to run with regular tires and tubes. As I've seen with some others here, I'm having a bear of a time mounting the regular tire as the beads keep getting caught in the UST rim strip center channel.
I'd like to remove it and put in some regular rim tape, but the strip that's mounted looks like it's on there pretty well, and I just wondering if anyone had any techniques or tips before I start poking and proding with sharp objects...
Thanks!

What tires are you using? Is you problem with getting the tires fully on the rim, or with seating the beads once the tire is on the rim?
I mounted Velociraptors on my Crossland USTs w/o excessive hassle, but did inflate the tube up to something like 110 psi to make sure the tires were properly seated.
