Sturmey-Archer AW Hub Dimensions

I have an old Sturmey Archer hub that I want to lace into a 27" Rim. Does anyone have the dimensions of the hub or a link to a site with the dimensions so I can use a spoke calculator and get the right length for my spokes?

Thanks in advance!

You have the hub - just measure the distance between flanges and the distance between spoke holes across one flange.

I have strung up two 27" wheels around old Sturmey Archer AW hubs. I was experiencing spoke breakage near the bend, until I read at St. Sheldon's website, to back up the spoke heads with little washers. The reason is that the old steel flange is thinner than a modern aluminum flange, and the standard modern spoke is made for the thicker flange.

In addition, (don't know if this was excessive), but I noticed a bit of a burr around each hole, which I was worried might cut through the spoke, so I smoothed the edges with my Dremel. I've had no spoke breakage on that wheel, nor on a similar build for my second bike, since I started using the washers.

I use 2 washers on the inside heads, and 3 washers on the outside. Seems to work.
