Apex shifter rebuild?

Has any here rebuilt a Sram Apex right shifter? Current shifter will up shift (harder gears) but not down shift. I have a crashed donor shifter that the indexing wheel and pawl seem to be good in.

Shifter fix complete. Parts were from a Rival that sustained a crash. The differences between the Apex and Rival are not really much that I can tell with the naked eye. possibly different alloy in the indexing wheel and lighter parts in the part that joins the pawl to the lever. Functionally and it seems dimensionally the indexing wheels are identical. Given the replacement cost of an Apex shifter this seems to only be worthwhile if two conditions are met. First is that you don't want to pay a shop to do it as the cost for shop time just does not seem worth it. Second is you need a donor shifter....... if you have to buy that and then pay someone to do the work it does not seem worth it.
