Frames??

Hi,
Are there any differences between a boardman road frame and the boardman team hybrid frame?
The reason I'm asking is I am thinking of buying a hybrid frame from a mate but putting drop bars on it, thus giving me the option of fitting disc brakes. Is this feasible ?

Tony

Frames intended for drop bars usually have a shorter top tube than frames intended for flat bars.
If you intend to repurpose a frame from one to the other, do your measuring and figuring first.

If you intend to run brifters, there may also be issues with top vs bottom pull front shifters.

Look at the frame geometry on the seller's web site. i expect there is a fair bit of difference. Fitting drop bars to a hybrid or MTB frame can be done but there are compromises in how well it works.
