Replace suspension fork
Hi
I have a Giant Roam 1 and I broke the fork. It is a Suntour SF12-NEX4610-V4-DS-MLO-700C-63 with disc brakes. I would like to replace it with a solid road fork. I dont know where to get the right replacement or how to go about getting one. Help!!
Jim

If you willing to replace it by yourself - check Nashbar.com , PricePoint.com , Performancebike.com
It's not going be hard to find rigid one for disc brakes. You just need to remember it needs to be "Suspension corrected" to keep current geometry. 29 inch fork will also work.
If you not ready to do it yourself - talk to your Performance Bike service, or any local bike store.
Can you post some pictures?

As its a Suspension Fork of Low cost, The fork you need is called Suspension Corrected ..
The blades are longer so the head tube is Not Dropped, Changing the whole steering Geometry from what it was designed to Be.
Google finds this : Roam 1 (2015) (2014) | Giant Bicycles | United States
I base my response from seeing that . since you didnt offer a Picture of Yours.

The 63mm Suntour NEX would have a axle to crown measurement of about 477mm
If you ride the bike with 20% sag on the fork it would have a axle to crown measurement of about 465mm
Surly's Ogre & Karate Monkey forks have a axle to crown measurement of 468mm.

How did you break the fork? I'm considering buying a Roam, and wondering how the fork is.
