Microshift twist shifter replaced with Shimano SL-M310 finger shifter?

Hi everybody,

Is it possible to replace microshift twist with Shimano finger shifter such as SL-M310 in my DAHON ECO C7 fold bike ?

DAHON Bikes:*Eco C7

My bike is Dahon ECO C7, without modifications. The rear deralieur is Shimano RDFT30, super short cage (Actually I don't know what is "super short cage"). The shifter is Microshift Twist M25-7. Is it possible to replace the shifter to Shimano finger shifter without other modifications such as deralieur or flywheel ?

Thank you !

I believe so. The "super short cage" spec is likely due to the smaller then 26" wheels. Too long a cage and contact with ground might occur. Expect a new cable and housing will be needed. As to how the new shifter and the brake levers will play together (as well as grips) will be yours to find out. Andy.

And if you have trouble with the shifter working with the brake, this might be an option-

Why try? 7 speed shifters are still available: Robot Check

It's FREEWHEEL-

The cog spacing is slightly different between 7 & 8 speed by .2mm
