Nipple Switch
I was adjusting the dish on a wheel with deep aero rims (H+Son Formation Face) and one of the nipple's threads was stripped (the spoke was unharmed).
So I replaced the nipple with one I had on hand.
In the photo you'll see the one that had the stripped threads, on the left, and the one that is the replacement on the right. Both nipples are pretty much the same in terms of length. Do you think I should have any issues with having an "odd" nipple in the rim?
*I should note the replacement nipple went on the spoke fine (spoke threads were not stripped), and I used spoke prep.

No problem. The square extension on the old nipple is for convenience in building and it's loss won't affect you.

Was the OEM nipple made of AL? Was the replacement made of the stronger brass? Andy (hinting at what he thinks of AL nipples.)

Yes, I am pretty sure the OEM nipple was aluminum, and the replacement is brass. Just for reasons such as this is why I typically prefer brass nipples.
