help with what piece is missing to the derailleur.

So I came into this rear derailleur, it’s a low end Suntour Accushift- XCT model. Looks like it was made in Dec of 89, so it’s a ’90 model.
I know how to clean, install, and adjust the screws on rear derailleurs- that’s it. I havent taken them apart to understand how they work and apparently this one is missing something where the cutout square is. Hopefully the red arrows are enough to show the area that something is missing?

Anyways, could anyone tell me what exactly should be there and what the missing piece does?

What appears to be missing is the cable anchor nut and bolt. Odds are that it's sort of a carriage bolt, with a square area so it can't turn, and takes a nut and washer. It may also have a hole drilled in it that the wire runs through, like old fashioned brake hardware.

FB is exactly right. I actually have the same/similar derailleur (XCT Lite).

It's yours for the cost of shipping; I would imagine that it will fit into a Priority Mail Flat Rate Box.

It's a takeoff with no issues, I just wanted to try out a Microshift derailleur in its place. Next stop was the co-op.

PM me if interested.
