Shifting trouble
I recently bought a used 2002 Specialized Allez Sport. All the parts are stock. For some reason, maybe it's my ignorance, but I can't seem to shift up to higher gears for climbing the hills and what not. I guess I just need instruction as to how to shift. I don't anticipate it is any error on the bike since I had it tuned up very recently. If someone could just give me some advice, I would really appreciate it.

We need a more specific description of what's happening. You'd be shifting to LOWER gears to climb hills; that would be the larger cogs on your rear gearset. A frequent problem with new bikes, or new cables, is simply that the cable stretches a bit as it wears in, and you have to re-adjust.
