I've got 3-4 of those 5. Weight training being one of them.
Having a flat tire as part of the total cycling experience is highly overrated. Knowing how to fix one quickly is not.

Time-off.Put away the bike and let the body heal from the lingering aches & pains associated with cycling. From hip labral tears to Achilles tendonitis, taking a few week ‘off’ from cycling may allow the body time to repair the injuries from overuse and training.
My first game of the rugby season is on Saturday. I read the above and laughed. "Lingering aches and pains associated with cycling." I'll try and remember that line in the scrum this weekend.

Right, because muscle and ligament damage that isn't from blunt force trauma isn't real and doesn't happen. And if it did, it certainly wouldn't need to heal.

I just ride for fun and exercise during the in-season, but was surprised that I'm already partaking in all 5 of the listed activities. It's really common sense and a nod to a balanced lifestyle - Siddhartha's "middle path".

I was also glad to see it skipped over beer and wine:-)

Maybe they just piddle around on the bike and don't get aches and pains from it.

Obviously there are different degrees of aches and pains, from different causes. But at the same time, there are different cyclists who ride for different reasons. For me, cycling is not just and enjoyable form of exercise, it's also a good non-impact exercise that helps recovery from other high-impact exercise.
