This really helped me i think http://www.bmxbasics.org/new/bmx0703.html and everyone said to look on that for me so here.

lift up front
lift up back flatten out go outside and practice for 5 hours now you got it. |
I wish it only took 5 hours...
|
the best way to learn would be to get on ur bike,
ride it slow, just cruise grip your feet on the peddles(by this i mean try to tilt them and push against them with your feet) first push up the rear of the bike using your feet and then pull up and the bars. i know it sounds weird, but once u can get that down, u will be able to modify it and make it into a good "hop" |
5 hours for many days in a row.
|
I got it right on the 1st try.

I'm a slow learner... manuals are taking more than ages to learn. Practice them a lot every time I ride but I still can't balance for long.
|
Bunny hopping is a funny thing. Some people get it right away and some don't. My son is still stuggling with it. He's young though. But some thing in life are that way, easy for some hard for others. Like playing an instrument. Some people struggle for years and still can't seem to get it. But practice will over come it.

When I was 14-15, once I had the technique down, I could bunny hop about 3-4in. MAX.
I hadn't ridden for about 5 years, so now I'm 20, I just tried yesterday and I could bunnyhop ~12-14in. the first few tries. The only difference is I am bigger and stronger, size and strength matter, and I was fairly athletic at the time (travel soccer and hockey) so it wasn't that when I was younger I was fat and weak or something to that affect. What I'm saying is, if you are younger and smaller or weaker than a full grown adult, you should be riding a 16"-lightweight bike. It wouldn't have saved a lot of frustration when I was younger and I probably would have never taken this 5 year break. |

Age: 17
Wheelsize: 20", around 2 feet. 24" just over 2 feet. 26" around 2 feet. |
Age: 14
Wheelsize: 20" TT : Around 20" Bunny Hop Height: About a foot It took me about a month to learn. I actually learned to nollie, before bunny hopping. |
I didn't read all of the psots aboive, but what realy helped me, was to put up a 2X4, or even a stick, ANYTHING. I was realy fat when I was trying to leanr how to bunnyhop, I am surprised that I did it actually.
The 2X4 helped me because I would know if I got over it or not, then I would feel special because I knew how high I got, and that I actually did it. |
