pretty cool if your goin for the old school-ish pimped out look...but.......thats defenetly the ugliest bike i've ever seen (1st pic). not feelin the whole yellow black checkered with the effed up wheels.

moosegoose nick 06-30-05 08:15 PM

Dude,I'm not goin for the pimped out look. This bike is about 95% stock, with the exception of the pads and those effed up wheels are original gold motomags. It's gonna be gone through with all NEW stuff this winter.

As a person who gave up on mongoose I say Motomags are AWESOME. I gave up on mongoose, when I couldn't win street races, and wouyld always lose by a bikes length. I still got my '01 Hoop-D, and was gonna reserect it for a big street race tomarrow but decided my DK was better suited for the job. Im looking into getting a set of Motomags for when I resurect my Hoop-D

Keep in mind that these bikes are older than you. Some of us like them because that's what we had when we were know-it-all punks like you. You've probably never even seen proper skateboard wheels either. Back to the first Moose, those wheels are ugly and heavy. And if they're not cracked, they're also probably worth a bit to a collector. Cool stuff.

KinetikBiker 07-01-05 05:44 AM

i like them, but dont you have something more durable and new to ride so you dont have to worry about messing up your classics?

if you didnt win a "street race" on your Mongoose its your own damn fault, its not the bikes fault, unless its some bike that makes you fall down magically because its possesed by satan and needs an exorcism...its just something for you to blame becusae it cant fight back...YOUR the reason you lose racers...unless your bike breaks mid-moto...

Actually, racing a Mongoose equipped with motomags was like riding a boat anchor. Seriously. That shot that I've posted from about 1980, that was big air for that bike.

If they were loose, they'd fall off. Why don't you lose the annoying caps? Those bikes are about 10 years older than you, which may explain why they don't fit your idea of what a BMX should be.

Chuck, I'm beginning to think you're not so bad. :D

wethepeople 07-03-05 12:30 AM

I LOVE those bikes. The rest of you can take your own opinions and shove 'em, these are some of the bikes that led to bmx.

And I can vouch for those motomags (having a pair of my own.... somewere) If you dropped them on your foot, you wouldnt have a foot anymore, easily the heaviest part of the bike.

You've made a new word too. Seems pretty common these days. It's not stretched out, it's taller. What's so weird about that?

KinetikBiker 07-03-05 05:57 AM

i think he was looking for the word "WEIRD"...oh well we should give "WEARD" a definition.....

It's an optical illusion. Or maybe because they're tall?
