And by crutches I mean brakes. Pulled the old 990s off my flatland bike to learn some more rolling/scuffing tricks. While I'm not naive enough to think running brakeless will instantly make me ride like Mike Steingraber, I wouldn't complain at all if that did happen.

I'm quickly discovering that without the temptation or safety of brakes certain rolling tricks are actually a LOT easier, because I can focus on being spot-on with my balance point instead of deciding whether or not I should tap the brakes.
I dunno, the versatility of brakes are a real boon for certain moves, but I'm gonna force myself to ride this way for a while and get some tricks dialed before I put 'em back on.

I may have to get a 20" bike and try some flatland stuff. That would mean crashing in front of my house, instead of far away.
