they arent really that hard to make. you could get a rather large pile of dirt and then cut it down to the way you want the jump to be. also were i go we dug a hole(well there was a hole but we made it bigger) and made jumps on the sides the hole like you go in one side and jump out the other, we made 2 different jump in in it.

find a nice place that parents/community (home owners association) will let you(they like to ***** if you build them were they dont like them) and AWAY from the jump start digging a hole...you could also make the Gap the hole..if you have trouble digging then put logs in a pile and put dirt over them to shape the dirt jump..the hardest part is the LIP of the jump...since your just starting makeing jumps only make one and make it around 1-2 feet tall and the gap should be 2-3 feet. some websites have tips on building....and dotn forget when they get dry to water them so they dont crack

if you build a jump going down a hill, bury tree branches and logs so that they are vertical. place and stack other logs at the base of these, so they don't roll down. water the landing so if you clip you don't fall

it depends where you live...i have friends down in Florida that say jumps there are a pain in the *** because its more sand than dirt. Also if you use logs make sure you covered them up with ATLEAST 1-2" of dirt otherwise once there worn in it'll be hard to re pack them if someone messes them up without taking logs out and rebuilding...and if you dont cover them up enough when you pack them down the jump will be bumpy.

just start with normal cinder blocks and build a step like pattern, put them with the holes upward so dirt wont shoot thru when you hit it. Keep water on it and make sure to keep it damp, shape it with a shovel and keep a tru shape and curve.
