Shin guards

I don't do the BMX thing but I do need shin guards. I need to know my options. I don't keed full race body armor.

I keep banging up my shins which is no big deal execpt for the fact I am diabetic and don't heal too well, I got to do something to protect my shins.

Go to your local sporting goods store, and buy a pair of soccer shinguards.

I bought some Knucklebone (KB) ones from universal cycles for like 25 bucks and I love them.

Go to www.danscomp.com under safety gear -> shin guards you will find a pretty decent list. If you just need general abrasion and bumps and bruises protection, then try something like the Kink or Protec models.

I usually wear shin guards during the winter which do dual duty for keeping my legs warm and helping to protect them. When I was doing more photography I used to wear Hammer knee pads (thin) so that when I dropped to a knee it didn't get f'd up and I could sit there for a while without pain.
