How much is this bike worth

I'm thinking of selling my PK Ripper and I'm wondering what would be a fair price. I've been out of the BMX scene for many years and don't have a clue as to what it would be worth. Not trying to make a killing off of it, but don't want to give it away either.

Ebay is your friend. Although it's not a Loop Tail, PK's seem to be desirable to guys in their late 20's and older. It has no real collector's value, but they hold a lot of sentimental value. Let us know how you go.

The frame is worth quite a lot, if you touch it up. The rest however... well, it ain't worth sh1t.

It's only worth a lot to someone that really wants it. To the rest of us, that's a $100 bike. I was never a PK fan, but I'd take an early 80s Mongoose, Redline Carrera, or 600A any day. Still not for more than $100 though.

1) Who the hell is going to buy a used sprocket? Especially one that big.
2) A used crank isn't worth that much, especially in comparison with that frame. I've seen used PK Rippers with rewelded joints go for over $800 on eBay.

Yes, yes it was. A purple looptail PK Ripper with matching Landing Gear, and a reweld on the seatstay-seattube junction.

The one shown is not a Looptail. Don't know if that's better or not.

Put it on ebay, set a starting price of $125 and see what happens. But its a pretty nice bike, and if I where you i'd keep it.

Is that the asking price, or have they been up to that much. I missed the bus on the whole gold-plated Hutch thing. A bit too ghetto for me.

Hutch cranks go for insane prices, especially if you consider the fact that they weren't (to the best of my knowledge) the best cranks available at their time.

If it were mine, I'd take some polish to the frame put new decals on it if I could find them. Part it out. Sell the frame in a seperate ebay listing, the spin wheels in another listing, the crank in another listing and then throw the rest of the parts away or group them for a fourth listing. My guess is you would bring in between $250 and 300.
