U Brake help
I got offered a nice looking MTB frame the other day with U-Brakes boosses. Is it worth it or can you still buy decent U-Brakes? The only U-Brake is on the rear seat stays, not an under mount. Any help would be appreciated.

There's the Odyssey Evolver, Dia Compe AD990, and DiaTech makes one as well. I'm sure there are plenty of others, but those are the only ones I can think of right now. And they probably all limit your tire size a bit.

But he wants to put them on a mountain bike. The standard knobby tire these days is easily at the 2 inch mark. If he wants to stay under that, and only ride in dry places, he's set. But a wider tire, or a bit of mud, and bad things happen.
