tires

well, i currently have a specialized spanky 2.125 up front and a shadow belter 2.10 in the rear and i run them both at around 75psi. im lookin for some new tires now, no problem with the belter, but the specialized is just uncomfortable because the nobs make alot of vibration and i dont like the feel. i had a shadow undertone in the rear and the belter up front n that was good but not for dirt, so i want to know what a good street/dirt tire would be with not alot of resistance. i was thinkin maybe a demolition trail slayer or somthin else like it, or maybe another belter. what would you guys choose if you ride alot of street and dirt, the dirt is soft by the way and has a loose top but is still hard/soft pack. i like high psi so 65 psi wont cut it at all

That is probably the stupidest thing I have ever heard asked. They are the same tire, just because it's a different color paint doesn't mean it's going to affect performance. The material making up the color of the wheel is the same material making up another color of the same wheel; it does not alter performance. It's like asking if the color of your door knob affects performance; of course not, it could be grey and will work just as fine as a red one.

yah i know it was a stupid question but like with dirtbike grips the different color sometimes means a different compound and same with some of the bike grips like black ones wear longer than the grey because my friends black ones of the demolition team felt like plastic while when i got mine in grey they were pretty soft but wore faster. and like the maxis hookworm tires have the different color side walls that are a different compound

I wont know 'till next week. I have them, but all my build part aren't here.

I like the tall closely spaced knobs, along with the THICK sidewalls. Looks like it's going to be a great all-around tire!

It's not paint, it's an additive to the rubber. And I think that the coloured compounds do wear differently. They did on my road bike.

It would tell what the colors did if they did indeed wear differently.

MTB tires have a durometer rating. Haven't seen that for road or BMX. I think the whole scam of coloured road tires is that they're stickier, but they wear really quickly. All about profits.
