T-H-E carbon fiber BMX hubs

Anybody running these hubs? I have a change to pick up a pair for 200. The original price was 429.

I can't find the manufacturer anywhere. I've seen the hubs they had a retail price of 429 on them. They are beauties. Anyone ever heard of this company?

I think that it is someone's name.

"The" is a dumb name since internet searches often omit that in the searches.

It's Toby Henderson Enterprises, and the website is https://www.the-industries.com/. You obviously didn't look very hard, if it all. It took me less than two minutes to find that.

they're mini hubs....i'm going to guess that they are made more for younger kids...i wouldn't exactly trust a carbon hub unless it was on my road bike...stick with profiles or something...

Hey these are an odity. I think that they are for racing. Some od the new 18 / 24 spoke wheels are stronger that some 40's.

These 16 spoke wheels are like $900 / pair and they say that they are stonger than the 40s.

I dont think that the THE mini hubs are 165mm wide, though.

Do they come with spokes? straight pulls can be expensive. You definetly don't want these hubs if you think you might ever crash with them. Radial laced spokes are not good for jumping.

I tried to email the company -- where else would you get 20" 18/24 spoke rims and yes, the spokes as well. Email did not work. Maybe I'll call from work.
