I hate these dammed threads.

You just need a mtb hub with QR and a 6" disc.

Not sure he's looking for DISK brakes.

His sig is for a gpv site, so he might be looking for DISK wheel covers.

Which is it Eddie?

No. Why don't we know of any? Because we don't use those things.

"It's spelled disc."

You're correct.
It is spelled DISC in his post, but not in mine.
Thanks for catching that, and also for not contibuting anything useful to the thread starter.

Oh - and also:
It's spelled DamNed, not dammed.
Unless the topic is beavers, but it's not.

We get alot of threads concerning disc brakes in the bmx forum, I thought this was another one of them. I replied to your comment with "It's spelled disc" because you wrote disk in all capitals, as if to be correcting me in a arrogent fashion.

Oh - and also:
I didnt know if the filter would catch Damned and have it come up ****ed, so I merely spelt it wrong to get around it.

In conculsion, eat me.

thanx spidermike, those disc wheel covers are exactly what i was lookin for! im not rebuilding any of those bikes you mentioned, the covers are going to be mounted to the rear wheel of a gravity speed bike. to see one check out my site www.freewebs.com/gravityracing/ there is a bike under the first "for sale or trade" page that has these covers on the rear wheel. they are more aero (typical race speeds are between 45 and 70 mph) and they help keep the riders feet/laces/ etc...out of the rear wheel. the discs on the site you gave me the link to are perfect cuz theyre white and i can give em a custom paint job. thanks agian! fast eddie outty

i painted the disc on the rear of the bike i have on my site to match the seat, barbells, and the front plate on the gooseneck, i like it! the color scheme on the bike im currently working on is black, grey, and chrome so im thinking about painting the rear disc like the biohazard sign, it would look cool sitting still but when im riding you couldnt tell what it was no matter how i painted it! im open to suggestions though, its gonna be in a lot of pics and film when its done plus its gonna have my "name" on it as a build so it's gotta look cool! fast eddie outty

For the speeds Fast Eddie will be reaching, maybe. At the speeds reach on the street or track, not likely. I remember a kid that got the Huffy Sigma. He wasn't any faster, and it was funny to watch him ride no handed on really windy days.

i seriousle doubt they would help a bmx rider at all. gravity bikers use them for aerodynamics cuz we typically race at speeds between 45 and 65 mph. they also keep our feet out of the rear wheel, we mount our feen on the rear trick pegs (on a modified stock bike) and race headfirst like a sport bike. check out www.gravitybike.com and you'll see what im talking about. i cant think of a single reason why a dirt track racer would use wheel discs. fast eddie outty

Weight rules for gravity bikes. Light is not better. Bearings, tires, and aerodynamics are more important.

i checked out the website. looks like something three year olds would do down my street on their evily welded tikes of doom. but then again, three year olds are the new old people. ooo, and id have a plastic cover over my bike that resembled a chineese missile, but mine wouldnt blow up in mid air.
