'02 Specialized Vegas

I'm a mountain biker and don't have any expierience with BMX, but a friend offered to sell me a rarely used Specialized Vegas. Can anyone tell me anything about them? Thanks for the help.

I just saw one today in the shop, and I took a look at it, and it looks like its got decent components on it, its just that the kid that owned it trashed it.
