2 Police Reports in 1 Month

I dont know if its just bad luck, or if the USA is just turning into a 3rd world country, but twice this month while I was BMXing, iv almost been bike jacked, and had a knife pulled on me, and today some moron took my cell phone right in front of me and ran off. Police reports are getting to be a real pain to fill out. I just hope once they relize what a crappy phone it was they would give it back. It has all my phone numbers in it.

I just wanted to hear any body else`s encounters with bike thiefs, morons, or just random street thugs. Theres gotta be plenty of great stories out there.

thats all that happened to me, but i live in alaska

:EDIT: and one of my friends had a knife pulled on him, but he looked around and found a 2x4 and beat him to hell

The only thing that has happened to me was, a gang of kids tried to grab me off my bike, but I was stronger than them, so they wasnt able to get me off my bike. That was back when I bmx'ed all the time, and now I have less problems with gangs.

I had a piece of **** bike put together with a few good parts on it but it was mostly a just a heap. It got stolen and I was pissed, Never got it back. I always get into road rage fights with people and I always get out of my car with a hammer in my hand and they get back in there car and then ignore me.

A couple of months ago Iweargirlspants from this board had two bikes stolen. The one day we had lunch at a burger king and some kid rode by on one of his bikes and we found out were he lived and then went to police and they recovered his bike.

Nothing ever happened to me.. I don't exactly live in the ghetto.. and I'm pretty strong, especially for my size. My friend's bike did however get stolen by some mexican once though.

I've ridden in baltimore, in philly, detroit, saint louis, portland, seattle, and minneapolis and I've NEVER EVER even had anyone mess with me. Just be smart about things, and ride with a few people and nobody will mess with you.

That's not true at all. We now have like a 24 hour surveilence cop at the local middle school. It really sucks because that's the only decent place to ride... but I guess they got tired of having to drive there every day cuz the principal is a maniac and would call the cops just for them to find us sitting there on our bikes talking.. so now they are there for the week.

that's why you don't ride a place that is a bust. i gaurentee there are plenty of spots out there for you without security or bad people hanging around waiting to shank you.

The most random thing that has ever happened to me was while I was waiting for my train to go home, this dude comes up the stairs, trying to push his bike on the side, on a small ledge which is directly under the handrail thus making it impossible for him to do that. His girlfriend comes up behind him, lifts the bike and carries it up the stairs, at which point I found it kinda funny, and allowed myself to smile a bit. The dude got pissed off (apparently) and came over and started taunting me and wanted to pick up a fight... since he was bout 30 cm taller than me I decided I'd rather smile and get on my train than anything else. ****ing Germans
