On a 20$ bmx that says x-games on it? I doubt you will be able to find stuff like that unless you purchase some bmx bike that is made to look like a motorcycle which you can most likely find at kmart/walmart.

sheeeeesh guys,

dont you pay any attention to any kind of bikes other than bmx???? bmx are the "lower tech" of all bikes unless you go all the way down to kids bikes. im not dissin bmx, i wish i could do that stuff and i use bmx frames all the time, but damn! im suprised at these responses! there are some nice shock forks made for bmx sized wheels, i have a two. ive found several companies producing very nice shock forks - usually for use on recumbent bikes - but i cant find any with all of the specs i listed so i figured id ask around. at least i got a response from the bmx'ers, on the recumbent page i havent gotten a reply at all. my search continues.....

why would we. 90% of the people that post in this forum are still in highschool as well as also play other sports and although probably wouldnt mind getting into mountain or road bikes to much, couldnt care less about any other kind of bike then a bmx.

I mountain biked before I got a BMX, but I would sell the MTB if someone offered me like $300 for it... I paid almost 1k with all the parts I got, but I got my money's worth and I don't ride it.

Some people don't really want to ride a million different kinds of bikes, or keep up with the parts that come out for all of them.

Isn't this like disc brakes, completley stupid but was fun to try and make it work, and he wants disc brakes imagine that guys.
they worked with my experiment then I sold that bike for a pretty penny.

i didnt mean to offend anyone, sorry if i did. i use bmx frames to make "modified stock" gravity bikes. the next batch (after i finish the ones that are half built) will use the front triangle of a full 20-21 inch bmx frame and the rear triange of a fully sprung mountain bike. since typical high speeds are between 50 and 65 mph, disc brakes are a good idea, fenders help aero, shocks are also a good idea at those speeds. i think its cool that you guys are so dedicated to one thing. im really into gravity sports so g-bikes, streetluge, buttboard, longboard, these are the things i do and i keep up on any/all tech, new products etc... heres pics of some of my bikes, some of those parts that were "fun to bla bla bla" have some very practical uses in extreme bmx applications.. They go 65mph on those things? I might trust a downhill mtb for going that fast, but 20" wheels are kind of scary at more than like 25-30

I'm not a mod, but I'm a dead n**** with an attitude...

Blue stars are mods, red stars just means you hate ads enough to bribe the admins to remove them. And I've had it for over a year..

didnt mean to make any one vomit, i understand its a lil too extreme for some. ALOT of upgrades have to made to a bike for the speeds we ride/race at. that bike uses Taipan Velocity rims, wheelsmith spokes, Crupi cartridge bearing hubs, heat resistant rim tape, thick walled tubes, and 120 max psi Odyssey tires. thats just the mods to the wheels. i didnt realize when i posted on this forum that most everyone on the bmx forum are still in high school (as i was informed) so i think rather than have children poke fun of a bike theyre too scared to ride, ill stay on the forums where the other adults are posting.
