Whats the difference?

I did some searches and I'm really not sure what the difference is between a street vs dirt vs trail bike.
Is it changes in geometry or materials that makes the difference?

Street bikes are typically heavier and stronger, and have pegs some dont have brakes either.

Trail bikes are more striped down if you will, less pegs, if any, one brake straight cable most of the time, and more agressive tires.

As far as the geometry of the frames and stuff, its all personall preference.

The materials are close if not the same.

It dosent really matter though. And acctually the weight usually isnt even different now a days. It's all about having the lightest bike no matter what you ride.
