New BMX for JammeR

All,

I wanted to start some free riding i.e bowls, rails, walls, etc. etc. and some riding at Shaw Mellenium Park in Calgary, AB.

I found these three bikes and they all fall in the 20.5-21" Tube size, and 3-tube Cro-mo frame.
So light but sturdy, I trashed my last one...thats what I get for buying a piece o crap.

Here's where she stands, any cutos for the bikes below.

We The People - Addict - 2006 - $550.00 - New
DK - Six Pack - 2006 - $489.99 - New
Haro - Mirra Flair - 2005 - $429.99 - New

PLEASE THROW OUT SOME IDEAS<>NO MORE THEN $700.00 Im not rich.
These prices are current in Calgary and I thought it may be a steal.

OKAY :-) YOU CAN HELP A GUY OUT :-) OR BASH THE THREAD )-:, WHATEVER YOU SO DESIRE.

Thanks
Mike aka (_JammeR_)

You are correct, go hard or go home, play on words is all that was.

I just want some BMX'rs to give me some good advice.

And YES that is a lot of money but I am buying in Canada so maybe duties/taxes to get those in the country may be a little higher then when they are built for a US Manufacturer. If you look at the top of my thread I have three bikes listed, if they are all over priced then it must just be the Mark_Up in Canada for import bikes and for all we know the tarriff rate may be really high for importing into Canada.

PLEASE, all who reads this thread please offer some real advice, If I end up buying the DK and everybody tells me its **** well then you won, if not thanks. I want a good bike and I dont really care about cost I just want something that will last me a couple years, and something i can grow on....after that I will know the THE BIKES AND THE FRAMES AND ALL OF THE ABOVE, I AM A NOOB, and all I want is some good advice that is why I joined the Forum, Please just give me some ideas and I will start the road to a broken bone or two!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers all,
(_JammeR_)

If all you want to do is bash a brother ****in have at her. What does the

Anybody have any real advice, because so far this Blog seems to ring people out rather then help the noobs who share the same interest's . All I want is a honest opinion

They have different taxes and duties, so they're pricing is not as competitive. Also, there's 300 million Americans, which means we can generally count on lower prices for several reasons.

To everyone else: He presented his question in a well-worded manner, and he's not very annoying. I suggest you offer some honest advice, and cut the guy some slack. It's not like he asked about disc brakes.

Hey, now that I'm not racing, I want a 7 speed Nexus for my cruiser. But it will get fenders and the Maxx Daddy's will go back on soon, since it looks like snow is on it's way.

It would slide at the skatepark.

I wasn't impressed with them for racing. The tread's too tall and aggressive.

Thanks all,

I bought the WTP Addict 2006, and got it for $525.00 CAD. I will take you advice and just upgrade the parts as they break, but for now I am happy with the bike, and so far it feels real nice. a lttle heavy still but as I upgrade it will get lighter.

Cheers all,
JammeR

Yes Shaw Millenium Park does get pretty busy, but the place is huge, and since there are is such a wide variety usually everybody has some room, and you claim the rail its yours, it is open 24/7 with lights so I can start early in the morning before the rush, or late at night when all the kids have to be home. I like it becuase you can start small and work your way up as you learn, they have pretty much a little of everything there, so I will spend most my time there, that is when Im not working. I am still a noob, its been years since I rode BMX, and all I did mostly was dirt trails/jumps, so it will be a change getting into the concrete jungle, when I started they never had the park. I will enjoy every minute of my rides, and can't wait till teh snow melts, millenium park has like 4 inches on Snow on it, so I will have to wait. Just getting the feel of the bike so i will do some rdidng around teh streets to get the feel for this bike.

Ride on,
Mike aka JammeR

question.
When crossing the boarder into canada do you need a passport or just 2 forms of I.D. also is there any age restriction if you under 18 without a parent?
