I like smaller bars with brakes and two pegs. I guess I'm not trendy at all.

I have no idea how wide my bars are... I just made sure to cut my bars evenly. When I can eventually ride again, I'm going to cut my bars a bit more because I got a dirty harry lever so I can run that on the bend.

Aside from the fact that I was riding brakeless in 1999, have pretty much always been pegless, and had to move to taller, more swept-back bars due to wrist problems... yeah.

What kind of bars do you have?
my piff bars even if I cut them down would only get to about 23"

(24.5 with, two pegs [sometimes a micro to] always ride brakes.)

I also have wrist problems... wouldn't taller bars just help your back?

1999-2003 - S&M Castillo Bars (7" tall, 6° backsweep, cut to 23") - Major wrist problems. Had to wear braces on both wrists.
2003-2004 - Solid Hella Light Bars (7.5" tall, 12° backsweep, cut to 25") - Had to wear braces on both wrists occasionally.
2004-2006 - S&M Slam Bars (8" tall, 12° backsweep, cut to 26.5") - No braces, but banged the hell out of my kness on the D.
2006 - S&M Beringer Lights (8" tall, 10° backsweep, cut to 26.5") - No braces, no knee banging.

I've been thinking of getting some piff bars, how do you like them?

Stock specialized bars, they were 24.5" but I cut them. I actually think they're a little short, the next set I buy I'll probably cut to 23" or so.

Anyways...
My setup change when i grew taller and because of Building the Underground (Slam bars!)

Uncut Slams(got them for the trend, but fell in love), Small gearing, straight cable (kinda short), sometimes squeaky brakes(not recently though...) and a low seat (i actually raised it about an inch and i think thats perfect) I never really rode pegs either. I would put them on every once in awhile to ride for the day, but as soon as i would go to the trails i would take them off.

I want a new custom bike, but I suck anyway and a bike wouldn't really help... I might get a freecoaster hub though, which everyone on bikeguide seems to be doing but I can see why, they seem like a lot of fun.

As have I, or even getting a primo bomb and lacing it to a zx22 hoop I have laying around and just re-using spokes.

And before you diss the Primo Bomb, I know it's bad, but they're like, $15 on ebay somtimes.
