Pump Tracks: who has one?
anyone have one and want to share photos? i am going to build one in Az at the end of the summer. i got the LeeLikesBikes guide. it will be my house so i am going to use the whole back yard and maybe part of the front if i don't get grief from the home owners assoc. the property out there is very limited space wise. i will rent a skid steer.

Pump tracks are like a bunch of berms little jumps and more berms. That you pump. Ish. I think.
One of the local sets of trails around here has one. But it's not finished cause you know those MTBer's can't build trails

i want to be able to use either the bmx or mtb. i want to keep the track fairly neutral (if there is such thing) and not cater to either.
although, i do want to build a light weight racing cruiser and try racing in the Fall. i think this type of bike could be particularly quick around the track if you are timing it.

They actually look really fun and would help me practice for the rythm section on the track.

When I raced, the 2nd to last moto was a pump race - you could only pedal to the first jump, then you had to pump your way around the track.

so they are like real trails, except with less air, and more staying on the ground?
