new headset with old rotor?
awhile ago, i bought a bike for a couple bucks at a garage sale. i finally took it apart tonight to figure out what's wrong with it, and my final conclusion is that it needs a new headset. but there's an ACS rotor on the bike, and if at all possible, i'd like to keep it. but is there a newer headset that's going to be compatable with this rotor, or am i going to do some more hunting to find an older headset?
if anyone knew what kind of headset (specifically) would work with an ACS rotor, that'd be awesome.
thnx.

If the bike has an ACS Rotor, it's got a 1" threaded headset. As such, any 1" threaded headset will work. The Rotor slides up & down on the shaft of the stem. The only thing you'll prob need to do is keep the old Upper Bearing cup from the headset & re-use that. I believe it probably has a cable stop built in for the rotor.

I was assuming it's a 1" threaded but still. Post pictures and we can help you even more.
