And the logical thing would have been to ask a moderator to move the post... .

He can't do that anyway because he doesn't have a nice red star next to his name.

Anyone could ask a moderator to move a post to a more appropriate area. MadMan can do it if he thinks it would be better in the Australia-New Zealand regional forum.

MadMan? E/TFG/B?

The 'For Sale' forum can only be used by those who have red stars. But, there are some forums (like the Classic & Vintage forum) which have 'in search of/want to buy' stickies.

It's always possible to send a PM to someone if you notice that they are getting rid of bits and pieces of a bike (the C & V forum in particular is a hotbed of activity in that regard), and ask if they'd like to sell/trade with you.

Probably. I'm just going to lock this, you can make another one in the regional section if you really want to, but I don't think many people on here have flatland bikes. bmxtrix.com is a different story.
