getting itno BMX

Hey all. I just turned 16 and am thinking of getting into BMX. I am from Manalapan New Jersey, and am pretty short 5'5. I need some advice on a bike to get, and how much I am looking to spend on a good good bike. Donlt really have a budget, but under 1 grand.

Thanks
TranDz

DK Sixpack for $300ish or the Integral Bel Air for $600ish.

You could have used the search button...

But since you were too lazy go for the Integral Bel Air or Fit Flow (the trails or park version).
The more money you spend into a complete the longer stuff will last and nicer the parts will be. Trust us. Money does buy you a nicer bike.

Why wouldn't you pick the bel-air? What's wrong with it?

I'm agreeing. The Bel-Air in my opinion is better then any of the Fit Flow's! Maybe except the Fit Flow Street...

Why the Fit Flow street? I wouldn't consider that the best of them, even though I ride street. They are all pretty much the same, except they are designed a little differently to each style of riding.

I like the street one. I like the components on it. I also like the color. But Bel-Air would be first. Accually maybe the Fit Flow Park..I'm not sure...

Edit: But also you have 1 grand. You can make a custom bike for that much. That would be a REALLY nice bike. You could just select the parts you want.

Well, the color can be obtained pretty easily, it's just raw, and the components are very similar to all the other Flows, except it doesn't have breaks. Just get the Bel-Air, don't worry about making a custom bike because you won't know which parts to pick and it's just better to start off with a complete.

I'd take the Flow trails over the Flow park. It's not worth the extra $$ just to have the gyro, and yeah I'd take a flow over the Bel air too. I don't like the 8t driver and 23t sprocket, seems to scetch of a set up. The cranks are gross, I hate primo cranks, and pritty much primo anything because primo is gay. The stem is a brick that slips alot, and the price is too much. The Flow comes with better components IMO and is cheaper.

Bel air, don't like primo cranks but the rest of the stuff is dialled. Full aftermarket primo kit, whereas the flow is just a bunch of stock parts with a couple of aftermarket parts thrown in

well all I can say is 5yrs ago(the last time I was heavy into jumping) the sixpack was a solid bike for the price and the slightly shorter top tube should be fine or you could just get something used

Your welcome to piece together a chain from my bag-o-links. And i'll sell you a tube for $2 and as for the tires, you can have my Ody dirt path and path. But they are worn and the path is partially bald.

I'm such a good friend.

Go with the Fit Flow trails. Not just because it's trails but because it's got a straight cable which is so much easier to dial in and cheaper to buy new cables.
