KHE makes a great freecoaster. Go with that.

The Poverty is decent from what i've heard too. But everyone likes that KHE.

or if you run pegs, wait for the new federal freecoaster. or the (new) street geisha. or the bamboo.

nothing wrong with the current geisha, i have one.

I would never run pegs with my Nankai, but then pegs also wouldn't fit because I cut the axle.

I'm thinking of cutting my axles because I don't run pegs on my right side, but I'm worrying that if I cut them, then I will have difficulty putting/taking the nut on/off.

Just make sure you make the cut with the nut on, so when you take them off it will undo any messed up threads.

Yesh^^ and you can use the nut as a guide to put your saw against so you cut it straight.

A few people have had problems with the geisha, not much just the axels bend easily and the clutch screws up sometimes

the main difference between a freecoaster and a normal hub is that with a free coaster you can roll in fakie without pedalling.

go to www.youtube.com and type in ian schwartz or karl poynter and see how it is done.

I just watched one of his vids. He's amazing. He did a 360 on a quarter-pipe with like no air and a bunch of other cool stuff.

Ok - a bit off topic, but answer me this: exactly WHY is Shadow such a "****ty company"? I see a lot of bad msg board rambling that they "suck", but nobody ever says exactly WHY. Personally I kinda LIKE what Shadow does - inject a little style into BMX. It's not completly my style, but something different nevertheless. I don't see them as sucking anymore than other parts companies - Primo, Snafu, etc.
I don't mean this as confrontational or anything, I'm just trying to find out where this bad rep comes from.
And in the spirit of full disclosure, I only run 2 Shadow products: the chain - been running one since they came out, never had any probs, only switched to a new one when I switched sprocket & rear cog. And a rear tire - free from a pal's shop. It's not that I avoid them, it's simply that Odyssey makes most other parts companies unnecessary in my opinion.

Shadow just isn't as good as other companies like you said, Odyssey, Sunday!, and many others. There products don't have great reputations and are known to be more of a trendy company with their colors and just the way they look. The part that they are known for the most (their chain) has been known to be nothing more than "okay" with it's stretching and such (although half-link chains do stretch). The stems are known to slip like mad and they just don't make parts to the quality of the aforementioned companies near the beginning of this post and hence why they are such a "****ty company."

I printed out the stencil, but never got around to making it because it was pretty difficult to cut out.
