DK 6 Pack and the Stolen Wrap
 
I was looking at those bikes, but then I noticed that neither one had a front brake (and I don't think either one had a gyro, which is something I need for my tricks). So I'm not so sure I would want either one of those bikes, even though everything else about them is nice. So I am now looking into different bikes. Currently on my list are these (and keep in mind that I want a flatland bike, so if some of these bikes wouldn't do so well riding flat let me know): 2hip Bizzle, DK Cincinnati, Eastern 9 volt, Eastern Battery, Stolen Getaway, and the WTP Nova. Which ones out of these are flatland (or would work just as well flat)? And are any of these to be stayed away from? Thanks guys for your help thus far!

None of those are for flatland. Look at this site for some completes that are for flat:

If I got one, it'd probably be the KHE Stylus.

DK makes a flatland specific bike - the Signal. Maybe check that out.

I looked both of those bikes over, and they both seemed to have what I want (gryo & all). But the Signal and the Stylus both had only one piece cranks. Is that a big problem for a flatland rider? If it is, can the crank be upgraded to a three piece?

And the site didn't say how much the Signal weighed. Does anybody here have one (or know someone that does) and could tell me the weight? So long as it is less than around 32 lbs it should be good.

yes i belive you can upgrade the cranks to three pice cranks but its probably a bit expensive

Sure, it's just a bike. Flatland isn't usually as hard on cranks as other types of riding (unless you're hardcore and do huge things, but then you'd build up a custom anyway)

Get the KHE. They specialize in flatland.

Yeah it's not like I'm doing anything that would kill my bike. Plus I never broke anything on my old Wal-Mart mountain bike, and it was cheap.

The big downside on the KHE completes is that they use KHE's own internal Rotor. That never got any good reviews.

Just why is it bad? Like is it unreliable (or breaks easily), or does it just not perform as well as some rotors (gryos). I read on one place that so long as you take out the rotor and grease it really heavy it should be OK.

Although since it is only $329 it can't be perfect in every area. :)

EDIT: man I don't think I'll ever find a bike that will work, hehe. Either it isn't set up how I want it, or it has problems, or it is too expensive.

Oh hehe. So it just looks dumb is the main thing (Although I don't think it looked all that bad, unless I just need to see other pictures of it)?

So should I get the DK Signal?

EDIT: I have been doing a lot of reading all over the internet and I as soon as I make up my mind about one of the two bikes I instantly find someone that has problems with it. So then I'm like ok I'll get the other one, only to find that nobody likes it either.

So I guess I shouldn't get the KHE Stylus (the F-SET rotor requires to high of mantinence and breaks easily, the wheels are fragile with only 36 spokes, the cranks are only one piece, etc) nor the DK Signal (the freecoaster has problems, it is too heavy, it also has only a one piece crank, etc). I conclude that both of these bikes are bad.

Maybe I should start from scratch and build my own custom bike (although I really have no idea on where to start)? Or perhaps just keep on saving money and get a $500+ bike? I'm really no longer sure what to do.

I've been doing more reading and right now I'm thinking I'll go with the DK Signal and if I like it (I sure hope I do) I'll start putting upgrades on it. But there is one question about the Signal that still remains. How much does it weigh? I've been looking all over the net and can't find anywhere that says.

Weight for a flatland bike really doesn't matter that much. Don't worry about it, just get it.

I'll be interested to hear how you like whichever one you get. I was planning to get a flatland bike a while ago but decided to build a singlespeed MTB first, but I'll still get one eventually.

yea buying a bike is hard because everyone has a diffrent opion and every bike has something bad on it or what not unless you spend like 800 or build it yourself
