new bike
ok i really want to build up my own bike but there a few guidelines. i want this bike to be around 600.00 and not to heavy. I'm using this bike for mainly trails and very light street riding. no grinding or anything like that and no park. this is what i have on my list so far but its already over my budget and i'm still missing stuff so what i'm asking is will you please make suggestions on better parts or diffrent parts to keep the price down.
Frame: Stolen Paddy Wagon
Bottom Bracket: Stolen kit
Cranks: Stolen Team cranks
Pedals: Animal Sealed Pedals
Hubs: Front Macneil front hub, Rear: Macneil casset..these r expesnive so please suggest other
Bars: my current one or slams
Stem: my current one
Fork: need suggestions
Tires and tubes: my current ones
Rims and Spokes: I have no idea
Brakes: my curretn brake system
Grips: my DK grips
forks: please suggest

Don't get sealed pedals, it's a waste of money. The Macneil cassette is not supposed to be that good, get a Demoltion cassette in the back laced up to hazard lights with DT swiss spokes, or you could even go to Hoffman Generator rims if you need to save the money. As for forks, get anything Odyssey or Sunday! and you are fine.

I wouldn't buy a Proper cassette unless I was majorly limited on cash.

Ill look into demolition because i've heard good about them and they are probably my second choice and i think im gonna go with a cheaper unsealed pedal and maybe get them off ebay to save some money.
i still need suggestions on chainwheel and forks though

Good ideas.
Chainwheel, pretty much anything 7075.
Forks, anything Odyssey or Sunday!. Primo Kamikaze's are also good as well and come with a "no questions asked" warantee.

Yes, although the cassette has nothing to do with the fork. I'm pretty positive the fork comes in 3/8ths.

o true that.sorry im a bit tired and wasn't thinking there. Yea the fork comes in 14mm and 3.8. I think im going to go with maybe the Stolen Engagement ring chain wheel.

Ok its not a big deal right now but my next question is on the cassete as im looking at them im getting it in white and it says 36 and 48H. what does that mean what kind fo gearing should i go with for trails
