Taylors hub blew up again.

'My Shadow hub's driver blew up again...
So does anyone have a rear wheel i can borrow for a bit?
Preferably with an 11t driver, but i'll take anything.

I can get it back to you when i get my new hub, or Shadow warranty's my old one.'

Hah, shut up! It sucks.

Ask mude about all the noise it was making while riding home from the trails today. I think the bearing blew out and that stuff is just sliding around and screeching in there.

Anyways, i've got money now so i'm getting a:
-Profile Mini SS
-Hollow 14mm axle
-36h
-11t Cromoly driver
-Orange or green (Probly orange, since my frame will stay green for a long time. Although i might re-paint it another similar shade since this coat is chipping like crazy.)

Laced to a:
-Odyssey 7Ka
-Chrome
-36h

With
DT or Marwi spokes (black of course)

That's a sick wheel. It was the old version of the shadow hub that blew up wasn't it? What's the new one like?

I have the older Shadow hub. The v2 came out a few weeks after i got mine. I'm probly going to warranty the driver again, just to be a pain in the ass and get some stickers.

My ORANGE! Profile wheel should be here and on my bike by next Friday. In the meantime, i'll be riding chainless since my driver is locked up and i can't run a chain because of it. It would just snap with all the pressure from the driver being so stiff and me trying to pedal. Basically the bearings and sloshing around inside the hubshell and the driver moves up and down considerably. Sweet.

That's cool that you're getting a new one. Hopefully this one isn't as bad as the one you have now.

I'm going to warranty the driver just for ****s and giggles, then i'm going to keep it as a back up.

I was thinking about unlacing it and re-lacing it up, to learn how to build wheels.

It's not too hard at all to lace wheels, the only thing I have a problem with is getting it perfectly straight

I did that with a POS wheel and just fooled around lacing it. I didn't feel like cross-lacing it because for 1, I don't know how to do it, and 2, I don't have a spoke wrench.
