What is my bike worth??
Hey guys, The attachment pics are of my Dave Mirra Signature 540 Air Bike from 2004? My parents got this bike for me when I was young keeping in mind that it would last me a long time and I'd eventually grow into it. Well time has come that I am now 5'11" 150lbs. and ready to use it. I've been trying to do flatland tricks, but I struggle because of the weight. I do not have a scale to tell you... but I estimate it at around 40lbs. It hinders my ability to do any stunts. I am hoping that I could sell it to put money towards a new lighter one. How much do you think it can sell for?
I will replace the handle grips and get a new front brake for it.
It Has:
metal footpedals
a large sprocket
gyro brake system
cushioned seat
4 pegs
metal rings at the end of the handles to protect the actual handle
Basically all stock parts.
other issues are the tires are about bald and there are a lot of cosmetic flaws (scratches)
Other wise the bike rides really nice. I am assuming it is supposed to be for dirt bmx considering the heavy duty build.
So... Price? I'd appreciate the feedback

Its not worth a whole lot man, sorry. 7 years old? and the weight shouldn't have any effect on tricks at all, you just have to put more effort into them.

You won't get much out of it. $50? Throw it in a yard sale or something and put $75 or $100 on it.

The soon to be putter, midschool fatboy. Just need to finish stripping paint, repaint and get grips and new chain, and probably new front wheel.

Wrong bike man. How much better is a fixie than a BMX for commute? It can't be that much better, plus it's not as fun. BMX > SS > fixie.

My commute varies. Depends on what I'm doing/where I'm going. And you just have to ride fixed for a while to understand it I guess. Theres just something like a deep connection to it that feels really good

Just picked this up for $100 off pinkbike:
Specs:
Frame: Fit Van Homan
Headset: Cane Creek S-3, basically new
Handlebars: MacNeil
Front Wheel: Ditch Witch rim, black, true and straight with no name sealed bearing front hub
Rear Wheel: chrome rim, true and straight, no scratches with 9t driver on no name sealed bearing hub
Tires: Maxxis Prototype semi-slick tires
Chain: KMC
Cranks: FSA Nasty Boy cranks, FSA BB
Seat and seatpost: MacNeil integrated seat and post
Still brakeless at the moment, which I guess just makes it all the trendier But I'm going to be getting brakes before I commit to anything too serious. On the ad, it still had some CB 50-50's that he was going to include in the $100 price!! But naturally, someone saw & offered him a pretty penny for the pedals alone All the same, I'm about to take her out to the local BMX track before work!

Looks pretty sick man. Have any problems with that seat rubbing on the tire at all?

Gearing looks pretty big for a flat bike, but it looks pretty nice!
