And lower the seat at least some...that's crazy high. And yeah Fuzz, I agree with you, new GT's do look really nice.

Enormungus, nice ride for the money! In my opinion, if Poverty works for you, keep your money in your wallet. I run a set of Lo-cash's and they are extremely light and run smooth (I just wish the axles were longer). Anyway, great build; it's nice to see people who are more concerned about parts that work than the more popular ones.

Aside from a little creeking every now and then, I have't had a problem with the poverty cranks. What kinda scared me about them was when I saw a kid snap one of the arms in half riding up the transition of a fun box. but yeah, almost everything I bought second hand or on sale for significantly less than the original price. I think the rear wheel and sprocket are the only things I bought not used/on sale. I spent around $400 for everything so far so Im pretty happy with it, I just wish it was a little lighter. Between school and my other not-so-cheap hobby/obsession, I dont have a lot of money to throw at my bike. Its all fun tho.

Yeah, I there with you. I'm going to college now and books cost well over 500, so building bikes came to a halt at the end of last summer. I have been getting back into it though for this summer. Also my stock cranks creaked, so I just took them off and put them back on and now they're silent. Plus, talk about snapping, an employee at my LBS said he's broken Odyssey's in two pieces (not sure which model).

Fuzzbox, lately people have been moving away from the popular Demo. Medial's because they are known to snap. Even some mail orders no longer carry them. If you include that in the 1%, I agree with your statement. All I'm saying is that used parts and some of the new generics are great. Talk about blessings form God, I got a set of Redline Flights (second generation) for $1.50 from a secondhand shop! So, for those of us with tight wallets, used is sometimes the best.

I watched half of my friend's medial with the pedal attached snap off and fly across a skatepark in the air.
Very scary sight.

Yeah. That's why I'm getting the more economical Eastern 720's. I might post the bike here when it's finished. Plus, is it okay to post a half-bmx bike here, or do I need to go to the customs forum? Seriously.

I'm too lazy. I would if I had a camera and didn't have to borrow one.

kinda, i make stencils and stuff and paint murals every now and then. nothing illegal tho. what sucks up most of my money is drifting. i got my pro license this year and it takes a lot of work.
(crappy picture from my desktop):

but to stay on topic, i tossed the front brake after being front brake only for a few years. i figured going brakeless will help make me smoother and force me to learn some new stuff. also i just like the way brakeless bikes look The bike feels a hundred times better and riding thorugh downtown savannah brakeless with a bunch of tourists driving around wasnt as bad as i thought it was going to be.

Yeah I mean like you wouldn't want people thinking "omg he hasn't slammed his seat" every time you ride past right!

Slam it if it starts getting in your way.
