I ride my bike home from work every day (I don't ride it in to work cause it gets too hot in the sun during the middle of the day when I usually go to work). But it's only three miles. I don't have a car, nor a license...yet.

That's sad. I don't even want a car bad enough to sell my bike. And even when i do get it, i still don't want to be driving all the time,i hope to be still riding to some spots every once in awhile.

FTC, in about 15-20 years (or less), you could be yet another one of the people who return to cycling, and say:
"I stopped riding my bike x years ago, and I've gained 200 pounds..."
Is a car that important?
Not so much a criticism, as asking if you really want to spend the rest of your life paying for a car.

Yeah, I'm in no hurry to start driving. I'll have to pretty soon, when I turn 18, because I won't have an excuse like not wanting to finish stupid driver's ed paperwork. I'll get to use my parent's car though, so I don't have to sell everything I have to get one.
At least I'll be able to ride at the skatepark more often, and hook up with the other local riders. And take chicks on dates too.

You can always take your chick out on your bike for extra street cred.

Street cred would be meeting her in the parking lot of burger king, going in for a sandwich and doing it in the bathroom. Right?
