    Backtrail X2

Hi, i have a 2005 Haro Backtrail X2. I like this bike a lot but i want to lighten it up a little and use it for park/dirt. How could i do this while conserving some money?

Ride it till you break some parts, then fix them. it's already fine for dirt, thats what it's made for. It's also fine for park too.

turning a backtrail into a decent racer would be too expensive.

Nothing is too expensive, unless you are cheap or broke.

Yeah i have a backtrail and its just not for racing its alright for jumping. My friend has a redline and for jumping my haro is better but you can tell its not designed for much else.

I have a friend in Australia that ties an old car tire to the back of his bike, then goes and rides around in the bush as fast and as hard as he can.

    You'll figure it out.

Would the SE Bronco be a good starter race bike? Or perhaps the SE BroncoX?

I wouldn't go with the Bronco, as it's Hi-ten. Just go with a Haro SR20 or a GT Powerseries Pro. Both great starter bikes.
